Family & Background:

The best day of my life came when I was a 7 year-old kid at Summer camp.  A camp counselor whose name I can’t even remember asked me, “If you were to die tonight, do you know for sure that you’d go to heaven?”  I didn’t know and so he explained the gospel to me in language a kid could understand and Jesus saved me that day.  The second best day of my life came at 23 years-old when  I married my high school sweetheart, Renée.  The third best day is coming sometime soon when Renée and I can welcome two little ones from Ethiopia into our family.

    Education & Experience:

Grace had only 30 people and an interim pastor when I first came.  I was as a 20 year old college student, studying business marketing at Biola University.  After graduating I spent two years selling copiers, printers, etc. to businesses in Orange County with a company named Lanier.  During those years in business God significantly grew me before directing me back to school to study the Bible and theology.  In 2009 I completed my M.Div. at Talbot School of Theology and subsequently spent 4 ½ months traveling around the world with my wife.  Now my job is to preach the gospel, tell as many people as I can about Jesus, and write a book called Gospel Patronage.

    Long-term prayer requests:

    • Please pray for me to know and love God more and more each day.
    • Pray that I love and serve my wife more like Jesus.
    • Pray that God trains me how to be a father  who models his fatherly care for my children and their friends.
    • Pray that God’s grace toward me would lead me to work hard in my calling like an athlete striving for a championship.

    One Thing You Love:

Seeing Jesus save people, bringing them from darkness to light, death to life, and slavery to freedom right before my eyes.

    One Thing You Hate:

    Satan and his destructive work.
