Tom Kimber
Family & Background:
Married Sue (Carson) Kimber October 5, 1984 and celebrated 25 years of marriage last year. We have one son, Thomas. We served in China for nearly 9 years before relocating back to Southern California. We have loved serving the Lord here and all around the world in both long and short term missions opportunities.
Education & Experience:
Received my BA from University of Redlands (English with an emphasis in writing). MDiv from Talbot. Currently completing PhD at Talbot.
Long-term prayer requests:
We long to see the nations serving Jesus, unreached peoples coming to faith, and God's glory to be preeminent among all peoples.
We long to see Grace as a global, missional community---raising up, sending, supporting, and receiving missionaries to the most unreached places in the world.
And pray that Sue and I remain faithful to our calling, growing everyday more and more like Jesus.
One Thing You Love:
We love anything ethnic and cross-cultural---food, clothes, languages, and customs. God's creativity and diversity is seen in the variety of people groups, languages and cultures. I LOVE worshiping in other cultures, preaching in other cultures, and serving missionaries and pastors in other cultures.
One Thing You Hate:
Actually two: Injustice and prejudice of any kind. Second, Satan and all his lies that robs God's glory and keeps us from living in the fullness of all that God has for us.
