Introduction

It's the most important week in the history of the world, and the Gospel of John gives us a front row seat to the final events in the life of Jesus.

Lazarus walks out of his tomb, and suddenly nothing is insurmountable, even death itself.

Mary takes pure nard and hints at the passion to come.

Just as scripture predicted, Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey, raises hopes,  and then promptly tells of his looming death.

Some believed in him. Many didn't.

In the upper room, the disciples were reminded of what really matters, and one of the weightiest prayers ever prayed is recorded for our benefit.

And then in a flurry of injustice, passion, mercy and power, Jesus is crucified, buried, and resurrected.

Finally, Peter is back to of all things—fishing. But Jesus will have none of that and the conversation that follows over breakfast will impact our Easter Sunday morning as well.

Are you ready to enter into that last week, with the Apostle John pointing the way?
