Women's Ministry
Grace seeks to encourage and nurture women in spiritual growth to the glory of God. We believe this is best accomplished through teaching, fellowship, service, and worship. There are two Ministry Values that specifically relate to Women’s Ministry.
Ministry Value #8 states that we desire our fellowship to be intentionally intergenerational and diverse in all ways. Because we believe fellowship with women of all ages blesses us in unique ways, our primary venue for women to minister to one another, is through weekly intergenerational Grace Groups in which women form ongoing relationships with others of different ages and walks of life.
Ministry Value #5 expresses our desire to have every woman ministering in our church as God makes them aware of needs. We hope to see each woman in nurturing relationships with other women as they seek to build one another up in faith, hope, and love to the glory of God.
Activities
Women's Bible Study
Women of all ages are invited to come study through the Bible. The class meets on a semester basis with a different book or theme each semester. This is another great way to enjoy fellowship and pray with other women of Grace.
Grace Women's Fellowship
Grace Women's Fellowship meets the first and third Tuesday of the month. Grace Women's Fellowship is a ministry for women of all ages and stages. Childcare is provided for this event.
Women's Retreat
The Grace Women's Retreat is a wonderful time of fellowship, rest, and time with God. This weekend away goes from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, and is planned to occur every 18 months, alternating in the fall and spring.
The schedule of the weekend is simple, with a desire to give ample space for individual time with the Lord, group teaching and study of the Bible, and time to rest well, be together, and have fun! God has blessed our retreats in the past by using them to draw the women of Grace closer to Himself and to one another. We hope to see you at the next Grace Women's Retreat in the late spring of 2011.
