Brian & Julie O'Herin

Brian and Julie O’Herin have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators (and their partner organization, SIL) since 1984, and with Grace since 1997. They began working in a translation project among people from SW Russia, then moved into teaching and training others in various schools including at Biola, and they now serve in international administration for SIL. Their work is devoted to seeing God’s Word translated and available in every language. Their two grown sons Steven and Kevin (married to Alice), are both studying.

2010 Recap:

"Praise God for Brian’s new role as SIL International Linguistics Coordinator. Praise God for an excellent Global Linguistics Forum in Hungary in August 2010 (which Brian helped organize and run), and for a great branch conference too. Thank Him for giving Brian and Julie each tasks to fit their gifts this year, for great coworkers, and for the joy found in service. Praise God for good health and safety in many travels. Thank Him for a family seeking His Kingdom." -- The O'Herins

Please Pray:

  • Brian as he continues to learn his new position.

  • The resource textbook Brian is working on, that it would be helpful in training people around the world in discourse.

  • The SIL training programs that Brian works with, that each program would effectively prepare people for their work in translation and literacy.

  • Julie’s relationship building and ministry with women.

  • Brian and Julie to grow in Christ.

  • Kevin & Alice and Steven, that they would also be growing in Christ, and that God would direct each of them in their ministry and career paths.
