Bruce & Wendy Dower
Bruce and his wife Wendy are serving with Cadence International, based in Littleton, Colorado. In June 2009, they moved to Fayetteville, NC, to open their home up to American military personnel and their families from Ft. Bragg and Pope AFB for Bible studies, discipleship, meals and fellowship.
He and Wendy first came to Cadence 21 years ago to open up a home-away-from-home for military people overseas in which they could teach, disciple, and evangelize military singles and families out of their home. God moved them into various leadership roles after that initial assignment in Okinawa, Japan but now they have the opportunity to serve in that capacity again.

- A number of the soldiers we minister to in our home are "down range" in Afghanistan. Several have also recently come home safely - PTL. Please pray for the safety and growth of those still overseas. Some of them have very, very dangerous jobs.
- A highlight of Bruce's week is our Wednesday night Men's group. The group is growing closer and the issues the guys feel free to discuss bear testimony to the trust we share. My relationship with some of these guys individually has become very close.
- Wendy is mentoring four young moms and is leading a new Believers small group as part of the ministry of Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) on post. We're continually reminded of the blessing it is to be back in this ministry together again.
- Several of the marriages in our ministry are under great strain. We've been honored by the invitation some have extended to us to walk through the issues they're facing. Pray for great wisdom, compassion, and sensitivity to their needs.
- Pray for the strength of our own marriage and for the protection of our own family. We feel the load, which is heavy at times, and see the opposition of the enemy on a number of fronts. Thanks for being in our corner!
