D*** & A*** O***

The O***s serve with Reach Global in southeast Asia. They are primarily focused on facilitating short-term missionaries to do relief and evangelism work in Southeast Asia. If anyone desires to serve with them, they should . The O***s have three children, J***, V***, and B***.

2010 Recap:

"2010 was a year of rest, retooling, and vision casting.  A*** continues her PhD in intercultural studies and they hope to return to the field in July 2011 for another decade of solid church planting and leadership development in all parts of Southeast Asia." --The O***'s

This last year, the Overholts established a foundation (for visas and non-profit status) to be their new “wineskin” in their plans to reach Southeast Asia. They have a dozen new church plants, and, now with their foundation registered, they have a solid base for significant things to happen, especially in the lives of young professionals and college aged youth.

Please Pray For:

  • Health and safety
  • D***'s busy schedule, traveling a lot.  A*** holding the family together at home.
  • A***’s anti-trafficking group...for wisdom and a strategy that will bring hope and joy to many women and girls lost in this huge industry.
  • D*** as he juggels the many demands for teaching, training and mentoring local and expat workers in the harvest field.  Our new registered group has 51 new churches and growing.  Mostly house churches with Buddhist background believers.
  • Wisdom and safety for our Muslm ministry in the deep south where there is a lot of violence form extremists as well as resistanceto the gospel in general.  Pray for J*** and P*** who are in their third year of Masters studies preparing for ministry among their own people group which is 100% Muslm.
  • Our two teenagers that they will continue to do well both academically and spiritually  and also for our son at college, that he would continue to do well and be involved in a local church and find work this summer to help pay all his bills.
  • God to continue to strengthen and empower these church plants in Southeast Asia  to share the gospel with their communities and beyond.
  • Perseverance as they seek to serve the Lord for the next 20 years.
