The Altmillers serve with New Tribes Mission, using their gifts in mechanics maintenance and construction to free the hands of translators and church planters so they can better focus on their critical task of planting tribal churches.

Praise God with us:
- For safe travels over the last 9 months and 19,000 miles.
- Praise God that we are at 78% of our recommended monthly support.
Please Pray:
- Please pray for the well being of the country and a peaceful transition to a new form of government (Dec 23, 2008) . By God's grace the door has remained open to His work in Guinea. Please pray for Guinea and its leaders in the year to come.
- For perseverance to do our part in making appointments to meet with people. Pray with us that the Lord will supply all the needed funds so that we can go and minister with our colleagues in Guinea soon!
- Pray for the small group of believers that are scattered among three tribes. Pray for unity in the church, and pray for them as they want to shine as bright lights in a Muslim world, in their own families, and among their friends!
- For divine appointments as we seek to help people be aware of the need for missionaries overseas, and what God’s doing in the world.
Let Us Introduce Ourselves:
We both believed in the Lord at a young age and have had a growing desire to serve Him. As a young married couple, we explored how we might use our gifts in mission work. After a couple of short term trips and the arrival of our first two children, Andrew and Natalie, we decided to join New Tribes Mission. We are thrilled to be preparing to use our gifts of help and service.
Our dream is to use our gifts in mechanics, maintenance and construction to free the hands of translators and church planters so they can better focus on their critical task of planting tribal churches.
We just finished one year of studying French in Quebec (June 2008). We have entered the final 7 months before our departure for Guinea. It’s time to buy supplies and start thinking about buying airline tickets.
Purpose of Our Work:
We've seen firsthand the challenge it creates when translators and church planters are needed to serve in support positions. They must put their work on hold in order to do the behind-the-scenes tasks that are needed to keep others effective in their tribal work.
Our ministry is to help missionaries move forward as they share the Good News of Jesus Christ and establish indigenous churches among isolated tribes.
Our first year with NTM, we were blessed to be a part of the technical assistance team. That experience provided a wealth of information that we look forward to using to assist our teammates in Guinea.
The Tech Center is meeting a felt need, and the word is spreading. During the time we were there, shipments increased from $90,000 to $180,000 per year. When we get to Guinea, we hope to fill a similar role so that the tribal missionaries and their families can better focus on the task of reaching those separated from God.
