Rick & Melanie Floyd

Rick and Melanie Floyd serve with Wycliffe. For a while they lived and worked with the Quechua people group in Peru, translating the entire New Testament into the Quechua language.

The Floyds are committed to several projects in Peru, and Wycliffe has Rick teaching linguistics at Biola University. Melanie serves at Graca as one of the Children’s Ministry Leaders

Please Pray:

For their time at Wycliffe and SIL international meetings in Chiang Mai, Thailand, May 1-9. Critical issues will be considered and voted on.

That their years of serving overseas will clearly inform the thought process.

For servants hearts, clarity & unity for all involved in making decisions that will affect the work of Bible translation in the future.

For effective roles in others' lives: for Rick as he mentors other men and teaches skills for missionary language work, for Melanie in her capacity in children's ministry here at church and in various roles in our local community.

For Rick's involvement this coming summer as he spends time consulting with our Peruvian colleagues on the Wanca Translation team as they move forward with Old Testament translation and continue work on the Wanca Quechua Dictionary.
